Wendell Harris joined the group in 2004 and provides the Board
with advice and direction against a background of over 30 years
experience in the finance and banking sector where he has held a
number of senior positions. Until a recent group reorganisation, he
was Deputy Chairman of Stow Securities. Until his retirement in
2005 he was Managing Director and European Head of Real Estate in
the Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets division of HSBC with
business responsibility for the UK and Eurozone and was,
until December 2008, Advisor Real Estate - Europe, Global
Banking and Markets, for HSBC. Prior to this, he held senior
positions with National Bank of Kuwait including Managing Director
of NBK's then commercial real estate investment business in the
UK.
Wendell Harris qualified in 1970 as a Chartered Accountant with
Arthur Andersen & Co in London and graduated from the
University of Sussex. He is a Freeman of the City of London and a
past member of the General Advisory Council of the British Property
Federation (BPF).
